The Townwide Fund Thermometers are Back!

The first of six TWF Thermometers went up this past Saturday, August 11, when Jim Lavery and Alex Armonas installed the sign on Park Avenue on the Family Service League’s lawn. Big thanks to Jim Lavery, who coordinated the design and construction and is reaching out to Townwide Fund member agencies with locations that would give us great visibility. Thanks to Alex Armonas, who asked Gary Pezza of East Neck Development to donate the wooden posts and paint. Thanks also to Ellen Fleury who designed signs that will inspire everyone to help us reach our goals, member agency Family Service League for allowing us to place the sign on their lawn and to Sign-A-Rama, who provided the sign itself. Alex and Jim were out in the hot sun, digging post holes and making sure that we had the best possible visibility.
Townwide Fund Thermometers were once regularly seen throughout Huntington, and everyone watched to see how well our fundraising was going. After an absence of many years, we are proud to say that the TWF Thermometers are back, and will soon be seen soon on a major thoroughfare near you!
